NFL veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has agreed to a one-year, $6 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, per Adam Schefter. The deal itself includes another $500,000 in incentives, in addition to the $6 million base contract price.
It wasn’t long before the former Saints receiver was publicly showcasing his excitement for his new team on social media, writing, “Bills mafia… let’s goooooooo!”
Sanders was made a free agent about a week ago, after the New Orleans Saints released him to make room for the salary cap. In that contract, Sanders was expected to make $8 million — but only $2 million would have been guaranteed.
In the 2020 season, Sanders had 61 receptions on 82 targets for 726 yards and five touchdowns. Sanders will join all-pro Stefon Diggs and a recovering Cole Beasley as yet another Bills receiving weapon for all-pro quarterback Josh Allen as the defending AFC East champs seek to go even further in the 2021 season.
