White Sox Land Lance Lynn From Rangers For Dane Dunning And Pitching Prospect

The Chicago White Sox have landed another right-hander in Lance Lynn from the Texas Rangers for right-hander Dane Dunning and left-handed pithing prospect Avery Weems, per Jeff Passan.

Lynn provides veteran support in the White Sox lineup and is a very durable pitcher — leading the league in innings pitched this past season.

The White Sox have been building their pitching roster to become post-season ready by choosing to pay Lucas Giolito $3.9 million this season and by grabbing Dallas Keuchel last season from the Milwaukeee Brewers. And as a result, Chicago was able to make their first playoffs since 2008, last season.

If it wasn’t for a rough last game, Lance Lynn would have come in second place for the 2020 American League Cy Young award, but instead he dropped down to sixth.
