Since the Denver Broncos have had a rough start to this season, many questions have been raised. What is John Elway thinking? Why is their defense so surprisingly bad? Will they trade any of their veterans to get good upcoming draft picks? John Elway certainly answered one of those questions — particularly about the Broncos’ trade rumors.
The rumors were that the Broncos were thinking about trading veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, cornerback Chris Harris, and linebacker Von Miller for upcoming draft picks — to ultimately help with the rebuilding process of the team.
Today at Champ Bailey’s Broncos Ring of Fame induction, Elway talked to the press about the trade rumors of those particular players, he said:

““You guys bring all those names up, I have not brought any names up. We’re trying to win football games and no one from our end is on the trading block. We’re going to try to continue to win football games.”
Before their first win of the season last week, the Broncos had lost the past eight games. Currently, their record is 1-4 and has been a major letdown for multiple fans.
“We dug ourselves a little bit of a hole early. We’ve played good enough football. We just haven’t been able to win some of them. It was nice to get one last week so hopefully we roll on that this week.”
John Elway is hoping that the Broncos will use this last win against the Chargers as momentum. I wouldn’t say that the veteran’s jobs in Denver are in jeopardy; if anyone is about to take some serious heat, it would be Elway.
What do you think? Will the Broncos trade any of their star veterans to get decent draft picks for the next draft? Or not?
