The Indianapolis Colts have reached an agreement with wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, re-signing him to a one-year, $10 million deal. This new deal will allow Hilton to keep his nine-year tenure in Indy and also includes $8 million guaranteed.
The veteran receiver took to Twitter to announce the news that he would be staying in Indianapolis and to express his appreciation for the city and fan base.
“One thing [I] [know] about this city. Is that they love me. And [I] love them,” Hilton Tweeted. “I listen to all the songs. I read all the tweets. I will cherish this forever. It’s only right [I] finish what [I] started. #TYISHOME.”
The re-signing of the four-time pro bowler will help provide newly-acquired quarterback Carson Wentz with another consistent weapon that can help tear up secondaries this upcoming season. Hilton will also be able to contribute as he continues mentoring 2020 rookie receiver Michael Pittman Jr.
