Last night was not the brightest performance by the Aztecs — after winning 26 games this season, they were handed their first loss.
UNLV star, Elijah Mitchell-Long, scored 19 points in the game, including two clutch free throws that he drained with 11.5 seconds left.
San Diego State, the only team in the nation that hadn’t lost since the beginning of the season, erased their 14-point deficit when they pulled to 63-64, with Aztec star Malachi Flynn’s 3-pointer.
With 3.3 seconds left, Flynn put up and missed a contested three out of desperation. His teammate Matt Mitchell was given a final chance for the team to shoot, and missed as well, from half-court.
The final score of the game ended at 66-63. What a crazy night!
