Nick Saban, head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, said that he does not know what QB Tua Tagovailoa’s future intentions are. He could declare for the NFL Draft or stay another year in Tuscaloosa.
Following ‘Bama’s 35-16 win over Michigan in the Vrbo Citrus Bowl, Tua tweeted: “I’ll be making my decision on the 6th.. God bless and Roll Tide.”
Tua might have to re-evaluate his original intentions because he dislocated his hip on November 16th. Ever since, he has been in rehab and unfortunately couldn’t even play in the Citrus Bowl. Tagovailoa was more of an attractive player to NFL recruiters following his National Championship win. But after losing the National Championship the next year — and then the following year not even making the cut for the college football playoff and suffering a hip injury, Tua might want to stay and play one more season. Then he could showcase his talent and potential and get drafted higher in the draft.
He could still declare and get picked later in the draft. Tua’s probability of success in the NFL will probably be the same either way.
Regardless, NFL scouts and Alabama fans will be eagerly awaiting the final decision of Tua Tagovailoa this Monday. Stay tuned for more information.
